PERTH & WESTERN AUSTRALIA  INFORMATION

Arguably the largest state in the world, Western Australia covers one third of the Australian continent. It spans over 2.5 million square kilometres (1 million square miles) and is bordered largely by desert to the east, and bound by 12,500 kilometres (7,813 miles) of the world's most pristine coastline to the west.
Perth, founded in 1829 is the capital city of the State, and home to 1.38 million people. As well as enjoying more hours of sunshine than any other capital city in Australia, it is considered one of the most isolated cities in the world.

Magical forests, the fresh blue Indian and Southern Oceans, sprawling fields of wildflowers and breathtaking sunsets are the beginning of a discovery of Western Australia's wonderland.
Indulge your senses in the South West, which has some of the best scenic towns in the state, sip some of Australia's best wines, explore limestone caves, national parks which house impressive hardwood forests and, from September to October, wildflowers present their own spring show.

Nature has carved a land of immense beauty in the north of Western Australia and its striking mix of enormous rock formations, cooling waterfalls and soft white sand beaches will make you want to linger in the glorious Kimberley, Pilbara and Outback regions. The rugged north is a vibrant gateway of natural beauty.

BEACHES IN WA

Cable Beach, Broome
White sands and tropical waters – and only a short walk to the Moon. They say that the sunset at Cable Beach is the one of the most magnificent you can see in the world. The blazing red orb of the sun sets the sky alight as it sinks below the boundless horizon of the Indian Ocean. And then there's the world's biggest staircase. When the conditions are just right, the moonlight plays over the ocean waves in a pattern that looks just like a set of stairs.

Esperance and surrounds
There are dunes. And then there are the one hundred and fifty-foot high walls of white sand that dramatically rise up from the Esperance coastline. The picture-perfect beaches of Esperance, such as Lucky Bay, Dolphin Bay and Esperance Bay on Western Australia's south coast, are a study in natural elegance. They've been sculpted over time with medical precision by the famous Esperance “Doctor,” the Southern Ocean wind that runs along the country's south-west shoreline.

Surfers Point, Margaret River
When surf fanatics find a good thing, they stick to it. That's why they return to Margaret River's Surfers Point in droves. The people who named Surfers Point weren't joking. This place looks like it was made for wave riders. The massive, powerful waves can carry for up to 500 metres on a good day. The surf can be daunting to the novice, but if you've got a bit of experience on a board, then you'll find most likely find the surf the best you've ever come across.
